Artifact of the Week: Silver Plated Cruet Set

This set belonged to the family of Confederate General Clement H. Stevens. General Stevens was the brother-in-law of General Barnard Elliott Bee, Jr. who is most famous for giving General Thomas Jackson the nickname “Stonewall” during the Battle of First Manassas. Both General Bee and General Stevens were from Pendleton and both were killed in action during the Civil War.
