Orr Katana: During and after World War II, many American service members brought home souvenirs from their time abroad. These souvenirs were sometimes captured currency, flags, or guns. Col. Samuel Marshall Orr Jr. brought this Japanese katana home after the surrender. Based on the design and materials used, the sword likely dates to the 19th century.
