Did you know that the Anderson County Museum wasn’t the city's first museum? In the 1950s and ‘60s, Dr. D. L. Kay ran the "Electric City Museum" in a concrete building on South Main Street. It contained items such as Anderson's first movie projector, its first police radio transmitter, and an 1880 Hook and Ladder Firewagon.
