The artifact of the week for April 19th are these glass insulators once used in Anderson, South Carolina!
"This clear glass insulator was manufactured by Hemingray about 115 years ago. Insulators allow electric lines to run without losing power to conductive materials, and this one dates to a time when the Electric City was truly booming, 1900-1910."
